Meet Our Director

Hi, I’m Miss Colette, the proud director of Claddagh School of Irish Dance. For over 30 years, Irish dance has been my passion, and for the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing that passion within our community.

I believe Irish dance is about so much more than steps and performances. It helps build confidence, resilience and life skills that carry far beyond the studio. My goal is to nurture each dancer’s potential, whether they dream of performing on stage, competing at the World Championships or simply enjoying the joy of dance in a supportive and welcoming environment.

I bring both practical expertise and a deep understanding of how to help dancers thrive physically, mentally and emotionally. With years of experience as a teacher, adjudicator and examiner, and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, I guide dancers through every stage of their journey with care and confidence.

As a mum of three, I understand the importance of creating a space where children feel safe, supported and excited to learn.  At Claddagh, we focus on building confidence, creativity, culture and community, one step at a time.

If you’d like to learn more about my journey and how I can support your child’s dance experience, I’d love to connect.

While we offer competitive pathways, competition is not our sole focus. Our priority is ensuring dance remains an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Dancers have opportunities to participate in community events, dance camps, workshops, examinations, competitions, and our annual concert.
